Frequently Asked Questions

A majority of our clients' frequently asked questions.

The easiest way to start the process is to educate yourself and refer to those who have experience in this field. We always suggest clients to attend import/export seminars to get a broad overview of international trade operations. The next step is to book an individual consultation with us to get an analysis of the commodity-related regulations and operational aspects that apply to your business.

There is no definitive answer to this query. It depends entirely on the industry or products in which you operate. Each specific industry or products that are imported into Oman, or exported outside of Oman, are subject to a variety of regulations related to the product or industry, and there is a set of customs regulations to reduce any potential liability.

Our consultants stand by your side in all import and export operations. Remember that you are not alone in this process and our advice is always available to you.

We get this question a lot. There is no easy answer! The first step for a merchant looking to set up a new export business is to obtain market information. The commercial success of export ventures depends on keen understanding of the commodity in the export market. This includes trends, local competition, etc. We also recommend a comprehensive feasibility study before starting and our consultants can help you with that.

Standard documents such as commercial invoices and certificates of origin are most important. However, each commodity may also require additional documentation.

Each country you plan to export to will have its own rules and regulations. Please contact one of our consultants to discuss how exporting will work in your unique set of circumstances.
